Position Summary

The Mgr, Application Development will be responsible for supporting the creation of software essential to CVS Health’s retail advertising and marketing efforts. The position includes responsibility for generating and gathering requirement documentation, interfacing with business owners, running daily standup meetings as needed, providing support and coordination for the execution of software development projects to the Marketing IT development team.

 We are open source enthusiasts and readily embrace new technologies. We build web applications in a variety of languages using a diverse toolset. Agile methodologies are essential to our practice, both Scrum and Kanban in separate instances. We are dedicated to learning and collaboration, personal career growth, and maximizing our impact on the business. Our software creates in-store signing, automates newspaper and digital circular production, and handles image processing. Our users create and manage content for CVS.com with the tools we have created. We build RESTful APIs with PostgreSQL and Node.js. We write client applications in Javascript using Ember. We are currently seeking an Mgr, Application Development to support and improve our software delivery processes, work closely with the Development Team to deliver projects, and assist in execution of complex initiatives.



Required Qualifications

  • 3 years previous experience in a professional development or IT space, with specifications, deliverables, and documentation.
  • 3 years previous experience coordinating, overseeing, and delivering complex projects in an Enterprise setting.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.
  • Strong focus on user experience, usability, and workflow efficiency.
  • Experience gathering requirements for and documenting software features and projects and interfacing with internal and external clients to set expectations and communicate progress to stakeholders.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing or supervising technical staff.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with Retail Marketing.
  • Experience with MacOS/Linux.
  • Scrum Master / Product Owner / Scaled Agile Certifications a plus.
     



Education
BA or equivalent experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$81,000.00 - $162,000.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
