The Decision Scientist is a perfect place for analytically minded individuals who enjoy a more consultative / customer-facing approach to creating value. Our team’s mission is extremely simple – help our Commercial organization grow through increased sales and retention for our Affordable Care product. While the mission is simple, the problem space is vast. Who are the best prospective customers? How should we pursue them? Who are our best customers? What should we do to retain and grow them? Which geographies have the most opportunity? The list of analytic questions just keeps going, but we do more than just analytics. You’ll also help lead us in the creation of decision support solutions, such as web-based applications that make our analytic insights accessible and actionable to hundreds of sales reps, managers, executives, and so on.
Advisors are just as fluent in PowerPoint as they are with SQL; as effective in Outlook as they are in Excel; as comfortable with business stakeholders as they are with data scientists. Your Role & Responsibilities:
• Act as a key individual contributor on large and complex projects involving multiple stakeholders leveraging a diverse range of technical and non-technical skills
• Successfully translate potentially vague business problems into actionable analytic projects
• Break down large projects and tasks into digestible components and propose project plans with milestones
• Create and present content for meetings, e.g., PowerPoint presentations, tech demos, etc.
• Participate (and potentially lead) upskilling and knowledge sharing sessions with our team and broader organization
• Provides leadership in strategic planning with both internal and external business partners
• Be a thought leader, explore alternative solutions to analytical problems to avoid any roadblocks limiting productivity
• Help develop business cases for strategic analytic projects and assist with crafting an internal growth playbook
• Develop a stakeholder network and eventually a project pipeline
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 90,000
Maximum: 180,000
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications
• 3 years of relevant applied analytics experience
• 3 coding in SQL, R, Python or SAS
• 3 years of experience quantifying impact and / or measuring outcomes
• 3 years of experience communicating technical content to nontechnical audiences
• Up to 10% travel required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Consulting experience: management or strategy (Big 4, MBB, Accenture, etc.)
• Solid understanding of sales, health insurance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or pharmacy benefits management
• Graduate degree in any STEM field and / or an MBA
• Experience quantifying impact and / or measuring outcomes
• Experience communicating technical content to nontechnical audiences
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources.
• Demonstrates proficiency in all areas of mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analyses, and predictive modeling and advanced in-depth specialization in some areas.
