Overview
The Accounting Associate I is responsible for a variety of accounting duties and may specialize in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Payroll with ERP software. The position requires a basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, accuracy and detail oriented usually involving complex and confidential data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary focus on Accounts payable.
- Enter weekly AP invoices, verify with packing slips and PO receipts.
- Process weekly AP check payments or ACH payments.
- Review and Reconcile AP aging reports monthly and contact vendors as needed.
- Gather and maintain AP required documents (W9 and COI)
- Process monthly credit card statements and expense reporting (Certify)
- May assist with Processing cash receipts.
- Reconcile GL accounts as necessary.
- Answer accounting questions by researching data.
- Assist with month-end processes.
- Perform various administrative and clerical tasks such as scan, print, copy, mail.
- Order office and breakroom supplies as needed.
- Some receptionist-type duties such as answering phone, greet guests, etc.
- Perform other office duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Qualifications
- Associates degree in accounting, finance or related field – Required
- Bachelors degree in accounting – Preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in accounts payable
- Excellent computer systems experience – Required ERP Systems - Preferred

Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
