What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at CWS?
Reporting to our Engineering Manager and part of our Plant Operations team, this position is responsible for the design, development, implementation and analysis of manufacturing products and systems. The Manufacturing Engineer will recommend alterations in development and design to improve quality of products/procedures, increase productivity, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and develops process improvements for Manufacturing
- Identifies and recommends equipment that satisfies project objectives with a team
- Assists in the preparation of capitals for improvements
- Prepares complete drawings for plant, tooling, and machinery layouts
- Assists in manufacturing new product developments
- Assists Maintenance on machinery removal, moves, and installs
- Functions as a project manager for process improvements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Industrial/Mechanical Engineering preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in CAD drawing
- Capable of working independently without close supervision
- Ability to communicate with department and non-department employees, management officials, vendors, customers, community, and trade associates
- Must be self-directed with the ability to work independently without close supervision
- Display capability for handling multiple tasks and adjusting well to changing conditions
- Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Responsible for training and scheduling/assigning work
