The Associate Data Engineer supports our software developers, data architects, data analysts, data scientists and business users on data initiatives by managing and organizing data in a usable format. Under supervision, the data engineer will work on data delivery architecture applying consistent guidelines throughout ongoing projects to find trends in the data sets and developing algorithms to help make raw data more useful for all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Supports and maintains optimal data pipeline architecture to meet the needs of cross functional teams. Implements and promotes the use of modern technologies as we look to streamline our back-end systems while continuing to support the existing infrastructure and business needs. Responsible for building algorithms to help give easier access to raw data and insights Identifies and recommends internal process improvements with an eye towards automation and optimal data delivery. Help manage databases, ETL flows for existing and new data sources. Helps modernize our reporting infrastructure by building and supporting analytic tools that utilize the data pipeline. Advances data solutions using various Azure cloud technologies Develops and maintains the systems and technology models and standards for a project. Keeps data security and data governance as top priorities Collaborates effectively with others in a variety of work settings. This involves helping to educate others on their area of work, understanding the issues/concerns of other areas, and working together to solve problems, which may cross numerous boundaries within the organization. Requirements
1-2 years of experience. Experience in SQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and ETL Tools. Familiarity with Data warehousing concepts. Coding knowledge preferred (Stored procedures, Python, R, etc.). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI). Experience and solid understanding of design, development, quality assurance and integration methodologies. Have a good understanding and ability to analyze client needs and deliver comprehensive solutions to meet those needs. Education And Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another related field. Degree from a Technical school or equivalent work experience. Experience with Azure and other Microsoft technologies preferred. Experience with cloud data migration is preferred. Experience building data models to accelerate PowerBI reporting a plus
