Job Title: Applications Engineer (Additive Fiber Placement)

Job Location: Based in Rockford, IL up to 30% travel

Job Salary: $70k - $100k fantastic benefits

Requirements: B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering 3 years of 3D printing and/or Automated Fiber Placement Applications or Process Engineering

To keep up with our growth we are expanding our Applications Engineering team and looking to bring on a hungry candidate with strong knowledge of 3D Printing and/or Automated Fiber Placement.

What You Will Be Doing

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the process development and product support of various applications of our composite and additive manufacturing machine tools, including:

• Analyze customer part needs and improve manufacturing processes
• Test and develop new manufacturing techniques
• Train staff and customers on new methods
• Support projects from start to finish and write technical reports
• Travel to assist with production and problem-solving
• Maintain regular attendance and be flexible with work hours
  
  

What You Need for this Position

Required

• B.S. in an Engineering discipline
• 3 years of Applications Engineering, Process Development of similar
• CAD (preferably CATIA, SolidWorks or ProE)
• Microsoft Suite
• Process Development
• Excellent written and verbal communication
  
  

Bonus Points If You Have Any Experience With

• Computer programming (preferably C/C or Python)
• CNC programing
• Large-scale additive or composites processes (3D printing of Automated Fiber Placement)
• Programming and running large machine tools such as robotic platforms
