What You Will Be Doing
- Estimating projects ranging from $500,000 to $20,000,000, including change orders.
- Pricing labor, equipment, and material costs for self-performed work.
- Soliciting, reviewing, and prioritizing material and subcontractor quotations.
- Producing accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
- Assessing site exposures and construction risks for cost analysis.
- Identifying constructability issues and value-engineering alternatives.
What You Need for this Position
A four-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
- Demonstrable previous experience as an Estimator for a Heavy Civil Contractor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera, Excel, Word, and Adobe.
- Experience with takeoff/modeling software such as Agtek, Trimble Business Center, Carlson, or Cad.
- Experience in estimating grading, utilities, and demolition.
- Ability to prepare construction handoff packages and respond to field questions.
