Objectives
- Manage and grow field service activities
- Develop service programs to promote consistent revenue generation and client satisfaction
- Manage spare parts business Essential Duties and Responsibilities Service
- Perform customer site visits, as needed, to support equipment and engineering services
- Commission new equipment systems
- Supervise mechanical trouble-shooting on a variety of equipment systems
- Provide technical training to site personnel as needed
- Maintain an equipment service schedule and service contracts with clients
- Comply with all Customer Safety and Environmental Compliance requirements
- Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained
- Monitor time keeping and submit expense reports
- Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparts at Partner Companies
- Make occasional sales calls, and plant site visits to collect information at the direction of Management
- Be available to travel frequently and on very short notice
- Be able and willing to work under adverse conditions (difficult customers, bad weather travel inconveniences etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned. Spare Parts Business Management
- Manage the spare parts business
- Process customer orders and RFQs
- Generate and submit spare part quotes
- Process spare parts orders (quotes, purchase orders)
- Update and maintain recommended spare parts lists
- 3-5 years of managing field service operations
- Ability to travel when required
- Good mechanical knowledge and skills
- Hands-on knowledge of electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
- General knowledge of electrical wiring and signaling systems
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 products
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated customer management skills; ability to manage and diffuse difficult customer situations
- Able to work independently and in team environment
- The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb ladders or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl all while wearing required personal protective equipment
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30-40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move (with additional help) up to 60-75 pounds (lifts over 40 pounds are two person lifts)
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
