HVAC Estimator is responsible for analyzing project specifications, performing on-site visits, and developing accurate cost estimates for HVAC systems. Work closely with project managers and clients to ensure projects are planned and completed within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications and blueprints to determine HVAC system requirements
- Conduct on-site visits to gather information and assess project scope
- Utilize industry knowledge and cost estimating software to develop accurate cost estimates
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing for HVAC equipment and materials
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and proposals for clients
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and timelines
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments to cost estimates as needed
- Communicate with clients and address any concerns or questions regarding cost estimates
- Keep updated on industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive bidding
- Provide support to the procurement team during equipment and material purchasing process
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting for future projects
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an HVAC Estimator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems
- Proficient in cost estimating software and proficient in MS Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of industrial construction projects and related costs
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Time-management and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
