Maintenance Manager

Position Overview

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and efficiency of machinery and facilities. This role involves leading a team of maintenance professionals, developing maintenance strategies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all maintenance operations to ensure optimal performance of equipment and facilities.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of machinery.
• Lead, train, and mentor the maintenance team to enhance skills and improve performance.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting production.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations in all maintenance practices.
• Manage maintenance budgets and resources effectively to optimize costs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly to ensure operational continuity.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in food manufacturing or dairy manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance practices including preventative and industrial maintenance.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications in maintenance management or facilities management are a plus.
