Mechanical Drafter
We are looking for a highly-skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs and technical drawings to be used in the production of mechanical components. The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, DraftSight, 3D Modeling, and other 2D CAD software.
Location: Meridian, ID onsite 5 days a week
Salary: $50,000 - $75,000 DOE
Position Overview:
The Mechanical Drafter will create detailed engineering drawings and models based on given specifications. The Drafter will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the product designs and must be able to interpret the requirements and apply them to the drawings. The Drafter will also provide support to the engineering teams and other departments.
Key Responsibilities: - Produce detailed engineering drawings and models that comply with customer and industry standards
- Interpret engineering specifications and apply them to drawings
- Create complex 3D models and detailed 2D drawings
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that designs are accurate and meet customer requirements
- Provide technical support to engineering teams
- Develop electrical and plumbing schematics
- Understand and document manufacturing processes
- Monitor production runs and make adjustments as needed
- Ensure that all drawings and models meet company standards
- Troubleshoot issues related to the drawings and models
Qualifications: - At least two years of experience with Mechanical Drafting
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, DraftSight, 3D Modeling, and other 2D CAD software
- Strong knowledge of industry standards for engineering drawings and models
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
