What You Will Be Doing
- Assist with the planning and daily execution of construction projects
- Maintain project schedule as assigned through managing submittal approvals, RFIs, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, and maintaining schedules and budgets
- Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and project site evaluation to assist in developing schedules and tracking project costs
- Work with architects and provide ideas for construction and design during the project pre-development stage
- Manage submittal log and coordinate submittals and coordination drawings with subcontractors and the Superintendent
- Manage, direct, coordinate the subcontractors compliance with the Contract Documents as delegated
- Assist in the development of the site utilization plan
- Ensure all documentation procedures are being followed (e.g., as-builts, permit books, warranty books, insurance certificates, etc.)
- Review and coordination of Loss Prevention, project Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) and Quality Control Program
- Distribute proposal change documents to subcontractors/suppliers and assist in collecting pricing and/or prepare change proposal requests for internal pricing review
- Be responsible for compiling and submitting owner-required close-out documents as well as assist subcontractors/suppliers in scheduling owner-required training and documentation
- Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, state and federal laws (e.g., OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.)
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field of study
- 5 years of GC-level experience in commercial construction (preferably, with demonstrated experience on projects up to $20 MIL )
- Demonstrateable knowledge of commercial construction trades and proven experience in both Project Management and Estimating disciplines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and MS Project (additional experience with Procore or similar Project Management software is a plus)
- Ability to read, write, and understand contract language, contract drawings, and contract specifications
