We are a growing firm seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager to oversee our tax compliance and planning functions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in advising clients on tax strategies, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and managing a team of tax professionals. This position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns, including 1120, 1120S, and 1065 forms.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies for mid-market clients, including S Corporations, C Corporations, and partnerships.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff on tax-related matters and compliance issues.
- Conduct research on various tax issues and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business operations and recommend tax-efficient strategies.
- Assist in managing tax audits and communicating with tax authorities on behalf of clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- Ideal to have a MST or MBA
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and team members.
- Experience working with mid-market clients and understanding S Corp, C Corp, and partnership structures.
- Salary: $120K-$150K/yr
