Job Description

Role: Sr. TPF Developer - Hybrid/Onsite

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:

  • Minimum of 9-10 years of TPF application experience
  • Must have a good working knowledge of the structure of a PNR and SSR
  • Must have a good understanding of inbound and outbound teletype processing
  • Must understand and have experience with the codeshare and class mapping process
  • Be able to code proficiently in BAL, Sabretalk and C.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining software for a z/TPF operating system.
  • Must be able to understand and code using TPFDF database structures
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training in the computer systems development field. Previous airline experience ideal.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Experience building computer software within the Airline business a plus.

  • Problem Solving - Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, probes all fruitful sources for answers, can see hidden problems, is excellent at honest analysis, looks beyond the obvious and doesn’t stop at the first answer.
  • Programming Ability - Ability to effectively write code (e.g., in one or more languages) in order to develop effective and efficient solutions to computing needs.
  • Solution Oriented - Maintains a positive attitude oriented towards coming up with solutions and developing new approaches, doesn’t let distractions get in the way, isn’t overwhelmed with problems/ issues.

Responsibilities:

Essential Responsibilities*:

  • Understand business requirements in order to provide the technical design of computer software
  • Possess programming expertise in Delta TPF programming languages in order to develop and maintain computer software
  • Develop appropriate software and documentation according to Delta standards
  • Support and troubleshoot computer systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing timely follow up on all problems
  • Follow Delta standards and methodologies in the development and implementation of computer software
