Job Summary:

Client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical team on a temporary contract basis for night shifts in Rock Island, USA. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions, ensuring high-quality care and optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
• Monitoring: Continuously monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatments and interventions.
• Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and timing.
• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care plans.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Documentation: Accurately document all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record system.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing necessary care and support.

Qualifications:

• Education: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical nursing setting is required; experience up to 30 years will be considered.
• Certifications: BLS certification is required. ACLS certification is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in medical-surgical nursing techniques, patient assessment, and critical thinking. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work night shifts, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,000.00 per week
