Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry
Shift: Nights - 12-Hour Shifts (7 PM to 7 AM)
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week; Blocked booking available upon request
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical Telemetry team for a 13-week assignment in the West 7 Med/Tele unit. This position involves working night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM) and may require flexibility for weekends and holidays as needed. The RN will provide comprehensive care to patients with conditions such as Cystic Fibrosis, Alcohol-Related Disorders, COPD, and Pneumonia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the general medicine unit
- Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions including Cystic Fibrosis, Alcohol-Related Disorders, COPD, and Pneumonia
- Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate and support patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to handle complex patient care scenarios
- Maintain flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the facility’s scheduling requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute medical-surgical nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS and NIH certifications required
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
- Flexibility to adapt to the facility’s scheduling needs
- Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $2,400.00 - $2,618.00 per week
