Job Description:

- Protects the interest of the company by understanding and interpreting contractual terms and conditions.
- Utilizes working knowledge of regulations including Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS) and other agency regulations.
- Analyzes significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and corporate policies and procedures.
- Manages the contractual review of solicitations, proposal development, contract change control process and overall contract administration.
- Establishes and maintains primary contractual interface with the customer.
- Maximizes cash through innovative contract formation and negotiation to achieve business objectives.
- Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management.
- May manage projects or processes with general supervision.
- Communicates with contacts inside and outside of their own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
- Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
- Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
- Responsible for performing inspections, tests and/or audits of purchased parts, units, materials, equipment, panel/module level assemblies and quality control programs to specifications.
- Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems for in process or final assemblies.
- Reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
- Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies.
- Reviews and reports performance data.
- Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company and test standards.
- Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection.
- May interface with customer quality representatives or suppliers.
- Works under limited supervision.
- Less detailed instructions are provided and minimal peer review is required.
- Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.
- May be a resource to other employees in areas of proficiency.
- Work may be structured within identified boundaries and procedures.
- Follow established processes to complete tasks.

- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Inspect mechanical and electrical hardware to determine acceptance or rejection.
- Verification of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing against engineering drawings.
- Utilize measurement devices tools such as Calipers, Height Gauge, Optical Comparator, micrometers, scales, and dimensional measurement systems
- Utilize surface plates, precision measuring tools, gauges (blocks) and other mechanical inspection tools/tooling.
- Document non-conformances and take photos of discrepancies.
- Visual inspections of hardware using microscopes and magnifying lens.
- Review Supplier documentation for adherence to Quality Clauses and Drawing Notes.
- Experience in component test environment such as Temperature / Altitude test chamber and test equipment inspection/validation.
- Support in evaluating First Article Inspection reports, CMM reports, material certs.
- Inspect per IPC, ESD, Solder, CCA inspection, module, and chassis level inspection experience.
- Good communication skills - Written and verbal.
- If they have an active secret clearance, but this is not required.
- Certified in IPC.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
