Cypress Lake Recovery is seeking an experienced Clinical Director to join a dynamic team!


Cypress Lake Recovery offers holistic inpatient treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. Nestled on the shores of a beautiful lake, the Lodge offers a setting that is welcoming and safe, allowing our residents to take the time to heal and rejuvenate.

  • Master’s Degree in behavioral health related field.
  • License in a behavioral health field such as LMFT, LCSW, LPC, LPC-A.
  • EMDR certification a plus
  • A minimum of 5-years’ experience in Behavioral Health or Behavioral Health Related Field (includes psychology, sociology/social work, counseling (including chemical dependency), nursing, patient care, and social/human services-related fields with focus on behavioral health.

  • Oversees all aspects of clinical services and operations.
  • Provides leadership in the development and evaluation of all aspects of clinical program operations.
  • Creates and delivers professional development to clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Supervises and directs the clinical program and operations to both clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure resident outcomes are achieved and standards are met.
  • The Clinical Director may be required to facilitate individual, group or family counseling sessions and complete timely and accurate documentation.
  • Writes and reviews policies and procedures.
  • Monitors staff compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Prepares for and responds to Accreditation Surveys and The Texas Board of Health.
  • Recommends budget for clinical staff development and staff resources to ensure adequate funding for delivery of quality services.
  • Oversees and authorizes clinical services expenditures.
  • Monitors expense budget reports and recommends adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborates with leadership to receive input and communicate information relevant to the clinical program and Cypress Lake Recovery’s operations.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of new services based on need and consistent with Cypress Lake Recovery’s mission.
  • Delivers presentations regarding Cypress Lake Recovery’s services and represents the facility at meetings and professional functions.
  • Attend and participate in Treatment Team meetings as required.
  • Establish work schedules and assignments for clinical staff, according to workload, space and equipment availability.
  • Presents lectures to staff and residents on various subjects matters.
  • Provide timely and meaningful performance appraisals to direct reports.
  • Will document any electronic medical record in accordance to Cypress Lake Recovery’s policies and procedures, as well as in compliance with Texas board of health services.
  • Support residents in behavioral changes that will provide optimum health.
  • Collect data and information regarding the resident from interview, observation, testing, and assessments.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop treatment plans and provide the resident excellent care.
  • Be able to appropriately assign a resident to integrative therapies that will best support their progress based on their diagnosis.
  • Organize and facilitate group supervision for therapists.
  • Support clinical team and therapist by receive, reviewing, and assessing the needs, complaints, grievances, questions, concerns, ideas, and suggestion presented by the therapists. Resolve and answer team concerns, grievances, and questions as appropriate.
  • Creates and delivers professional development to clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Collaborates with leadership to receive input and communicate information relevant to the clinical program and Cypress Lake Recovery’s operations.
