The Cypress is recruiting for a hospitality focused Staffing Coordinator to work on a temporary assignment, approximately 3 months. This schedule is Sunday - Thursday from 4p - 8p and weekend on-call, Friday 4p - Monday 8a. This role is responsible for scheduling nurses for daily shifts in the health center, assisting with time card review, missed punches, processing PTO requests and serves as the point of contact to staff for general office administration questions in a warm and professional manner on a daily basis. 

 

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Staffing Coordinator:

 

  • Take a proactive approach with staffing the calendar out by maintaining and managing schedules for the nursing staff, while ensuring appropriate staffing levels are adequate to properly care for the residents of the Health Center.
  • Participates in managing staffing levels and adjusting them according to the member census in the health center while remaining within the budgeted goals of allowed overtime.
  • Communicate all concerns regarding nursing staff numbers and staffing related issues to Director of Nursing (DON).
  • Participates in the “on-call” process for staffing related issues or concerns after business hours while maintaining a record of all staffing related calls.
  • Participates in the employment process and assists with new hire orientation.
  • Assist with employee records, including maintaining and coordinating all time records for submission to payroll and all attendance activity reports for submission to DON.
  • Assist the DON with administrative projects/assignments.

 

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

 

  • Ability to work on-call on weekends.
  • 1-2 years managing nursing schedules and managing medical records.
  • High School diploma required with applicable coursework preferred. Equivalent applicable experience in medical secretary, medical transcription or medical records acceptable.
  • Competent in various office equipment, including but not limited to computers, fax machines, calculators, and copiers.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize tasks/assignments.
  • Reliability and dependability a must.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.

 

Pay Range $18 - 20 per hour, depending on experience.
