Senior Business Intelligence Cognos Engineer - Admin

Qualifications:
- Provides highly technical, ongoing support of Business Intelligence applications like Cognos.
- Directs installing, upgrading, testing, and maintaining multiple server and network operating system environments.
- Directs installation and deployment of security patches across the server environment and ensures adherence to change control policies.
- Writes and coordinates technical standards and procedures.
- Directs the monitoring and tuning regularly. Produces statistics on performance and is responsible for identifying and resolving performance problems.
- Conducts problem resolution. Performs research and testing to determine causes and makes necessary corrections.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Hours of Work:
- May require extended work hours.
- May be subject to on-call and call back as needed.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 6 to 9 years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provides ongoing multi-computer site support for Business Intelligence Software activities associated with installing, upgrading, testing, and maintaining IBM Cognos software in multiple servers and network operating system environments.
- Follows detailed work plans for both installation and continuing maintenance.
- Conducts tests and monitors new installations.
- Experience with IBM Cognos is a plus.
- Senior-level positions require a seasoned professional with a full understanding of industry practices.
- Requires a high level of experience and proficiency in the field.

- Comprehensive knowledge of concepts and principles in functional areas.
- General knowledge of department/business lines and/or system operations, policies, procedures, and technologies.

- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communication skills tailored for the intended audience.
