What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payment Processor position at D&A Services?

Job Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for accuracy and timeliness of processing payments, as well as providing support to the bookkeeping team with data entry and other transactional duties. This is a great opportunity for an adept learner looking to start or continue a career path in an office setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Post customer payments to the operating system
  • Responsible for daily mail procedure; receive mail, review, record, identify proper department/addressee and deliver accordingly
  • File and scan all necessary documents and correspondence
  • Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping sensitive information confidential.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Must have flexibility to work varying or extended hours no later than 6:30 PM during the week, and 8-12 occasional Saturdays, during high volume/peak times for the department such as high-volume payment days and month end/beginning of month department duties as required
  • Dependable and regular attendance and punctuality is an essential requirement of this job.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, emphasis on Excel and Outlook, required.
  • Minimum High School Education or Equivalent required
  • Must be able to work quickly with a high degree of accuracy
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in payment processing, banking, bookkeeping, or accounting role preferred
  • Must be able to work independently within an open team environment
  • Detail oriented with strong ability to focus on task completion and juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $14.50-$17.00/hr, commensurate with experience
  • Benefits package available after 60 days of employment: Medical, Dental, Vision, EAP.
  • Other benefits offered to qualifying employees: 401K plan, Short Term Disability, Life Insurance, FSA/HSA, Legal support.
  • Paid time off benefits after 90 days of employment
Physical Demand/Work Environment: Physical demands are limited and are representative of a typical office environment. Environmental surroundings include no intrusive or outdoor elements.
