About the Position:
The Baseball Training Manager position is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role, that works in coordination with the mission of D-BAT Baseball & Softball Academy. D-BAT's mission is to provide quality instruction to enhance the baseball and softball experience for players at all levels from Little League to the collegiate and professional levels.
The ideal candidate for this position is a highly motivated person who loves the game of baseball and is looking to make or continue a career in the sport. We are looking for a passionate and engaged leader who is excited about leading teams and coaching up individuals to get the most out of their players and coaches.
Job Functions:
- Keeping training 4 days a week - (80% of high goal)
- Administrative Meetings
- 1-on-1 Performance reviews
- 1-on-1 Methodology and Instructional Coaching
- Conduct weekly team meetings on goals and objectives
- Responsible for overall revenue targets for the baseball business line
- Sales
- Weekly meeting with the General Manager on goals
- Provide coaching on rebooking and booking clients in advance
- Initiate calls as necessary to clients that are not booked out or rebooked for a session
- Build partnerships and new opportunities laid out by the General Manager

Responsibilities:
Customer Experience/Instructional Quality
- Work with the General Manager to implement customer surveys both electronic and paper format to obtain customer feedback on instructional quality
- Implementing technology into our lessons included but not limited to video analysis
- Ensuring the facility conducts 100 free promos per month (25 weekly)
People- Team management- Performance
- Onboard new instructors to ensure early success
- Train all instructors on new processes, procedures, and technology including but not limited to Mindbody, rebooking processes, Mindbody App, etc.
- Mentor Instructions to improve instructional quality, rebooking rates, and other qualitative and quantitative measurements
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment procurement to increase instructional quality
- Conduct regular evaluations of every instructor for both qualitative and quantitative measurements to improve performance
- Make recommendations on all instructor personnel decisions- hiring and separation
- Oversee scheduling of instructors to optimize utilization of the cages and equipment.
Servicing Demand- Goal achievement (Sales and Marketing)
- Participate in weekly meeting with General Manager and Area Manager to discuss goals and performance trends
- Review calendar to determine upcoming partnership events to determine marketing strategy
Partnership Execution/Liaison
- Be a direct link between the General Manager and on site personnel for all outside events
- Coordinate all staffing needs for events put on outside the facility
- Verify that all equipment and items needed are secured to successfully run any and all outside the facility events.
Total Baseball Responsibilities- Camp, Machines, Lessons, Team Lessons, Cage Rentals, Clinics, and Birthday Parties
- Servicing machines and maintaining a regular PM program
- Scheduling team events
- Maintaining proper staffing levels for birthday parties, camps, and clinics
- Working through existing partnerships to maximize cage rental revenue.
Hiring, Interviewing, Coaching, & Teaching
- Make recommendations on all instructor personnel decisions- hiring and separation
- Responsible for training and session development of all baseball instructors within the facility.
Experience Fit:
- College or professional playing experience
- Advanced understanding of best training practices
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences
- Lesson planning, development and execution
- Experience giving one on one lessons or coaching within a baseball camp environment
- Team coaching experience
