The Estimating Coordinator provides routine and non-routine clerical and administrative support to the estimating department during the bidding process for multiple projects at one time. The Estimating Coordinator works full life cycle, from inception to final estimate status. This includes material and purchase item information for bids in a timely manner.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Work in a team environment to share, delegate, and help distribute the workload.
- Process bid documents from agencies/owners to ensure accurate and timely bid submissions.
- Assemble, track, and prepare correspondence to ensure all documentation and communication is accurate and timely.
- Coordinate with estimators on any required pre-qualification documentation and materials needed at bid submission.
- Navigate a variety of customer- and owner-specific websites for access to bid documents and submission.
- Assist with the printing of bid documents including specifications and drawings.
- Variety of administrative office support functions to ensure that daily operations of the department run efficiently.
- Coordination of subcontractor database for ongoing accuracy providing estimators with a source of a variety of trades to access for invite purposes.
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of the Aerospace Industry is desired.
- Ability to work as a team member with multiple Estimating Coordinators.
- Strong communication skills (verbal/written).
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to provide various levels of support to estimators.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Excel (advanced) required.
- Word (intermediate) required.
