Job Title: Secretarial work

Salary and Benefits: $15-$17 per hour

Job Type: Full Time 40 hrs.

Job Description:

We need an employee that can review incoming emails, texts, calls and private messages that arrive from our web store, work phone, social media and sales staff, while keeping an orderly and organized list of messages, prioritized by importance. Some light inventory and stock counts will also be required to communicate to the purchasing department. Because we are a small business our employees work fluidly through multiple departments, on days when messages are light expect to be called upon for assisting in other departments such as sales, packaging and order fulfillment.

Answering and categorizing messages:

We need someone who is self motivated and innately organized who can apply their organization techniques to keep an updated list of incoming and outgoing messages from customers, clients, co-workers and business associates, that can then be answered or directed to the appropriate department within the company.

The ideal candidate should be able to quickly discern whether they can address questions within their knowledge base or redirect to the appropriate department. While messages are awaiting response the new hire must keep them organized and monitored to be sure they are all appropriately seen to.

Light Inventory and Stock counts:

We need someone who can keep up to date about whats in stock for both products and packaging material. Weekly counts will be required, followed by an update to the purchasing department. The product stock awareness is equally important when it comes to customer inquiries.

Skills & Experience:

-self managing & self motivated

-applied organization with incoming and outgoing messages

-computer software tools for organizing messages, we are not particular as long as it works for you

-attention to detail as many of our products have small differences

-Moderate typing speed

We are looking for someone who is organized, detail oriented, has a good understanding of workflow and systems thinking, and can lift up to 30lbs boxes to achieve proper stock room organization. Our new hire must be able to type 60 wpm, have a good understanding of a spreadsheet based program, or any other program that can keep messages organized. Write neatly for labeling stock containers and use a box cutter to occasionally breaking down boxes.

Work Environment:

We are a small business with just 6 employees and a generally relaxed work environment.

We are a fun team of hard workers that enjoy motivating and helping each other while keeping an open and honest relationship among our fellow employees. We are looking forward to filling the position with a new, fun, friendly face to join our team.

Compensation:

This position is full time, we pay $15/ hour during a 2 week training, once trained the hourly rate increases to $17. We offer periodic wage increases based on job performance and 2 weeks annual paid vacation for our full time employees.
