Field Service Technician (CSC) 

Purpose / General Description:

Field Service Technician ensures that products meet quality requirements, collects and records data, complies to all regulatory requirements and coordinates Concrete Service Co. on-site activities to meet customer expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand and adhere to all expectations for performance: Know all policies, procedures, regulations, and requirements of the position. Perform to all safety, 5S, quality, productivity, and customer service standards
• Maintain Safety Awareness: Wear all PPE consistently, perform tasks in a safe manner and ensure others always work safely, bring awareness to issues and potential issues (near-miss) as discovered.
• Perform Inspections / Tests to Ensure Product Quality: Monitor slump, air; and make/deliver cylinders for testing per ACI standards. Communicate adjustments needed (air/water) to plant manager as needed. Complete documents and reports accurately and timely.
• Coordinate Activities at Job Sites: Perform pre-site assessments, coordinate truck movements at job sites. Coordinate truck spacing and call backs between customer and Dispatch. Respond effectively to changes in the work schedule, manage daily activities to support customers.
• Perform backup duties as requested: Batch Concrete, Load Aggregates, Drive Concrete Mixers (Floater), fill-in on other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED
• ACI and NCDOT Field Tech Certifications (PCI level I or II (with current ACI – Grade 1) preferred)
• 5 Years Experience in Concrete Mixing and Delivery Processes
• Field Inspection and Concrete Batching Certifications
• Strong interpersonal skills (communicate well at all levels within the organization)
• Demonstrated ability to think in terms of processes and work creatively to improve them 
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams to comply with processes
• Able to work a flexible work schedule as needed, Mon-Fri, some Saturdays
• Have a valid driver's license, clean driving record
