Financial Analyst

Position Overview:

The Financial Controller is responsible for supporting local and global business management with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and variance analysis on a Profit & Loss and Cash Flow basis. Work is performed in a fast-paced environment with tight time constraints. Unusual hours may be required. This is a salaried exempt position.

Position Reports To (Position Title):

The Financial Controller reports directly to the Director of Controlling

Essential Functions:

1. Follow and maintain effective policies and procedures that ensure timely execution of the Durr Controlling Manual.

2. Prepare monthly contract schedule and reconcile to SAP

3. Primary responsibilities include preparing Monthly BU Reporting Package (including Scorecard, P&L (HFM), Balance Sheet (HFM), Order Analysis, Trade Receivables, and Legal Issues).

4. Monthly preparation and analysis of simulation model, department efficiency charts, actual to budget analysis, and additional adhoc reports as required.

5. Process and analyze monthly SAP closing transactions (RA, cost settlements, allocations, etc.)

6. Coordinate with Finance to provide necessary resources and information in a supportive manner to ensure proper reporting.

7. Assists in P&L budget preparation, cost center planning, hourly rate calculations, and presentations

8. Prepare audit documentation as needed

9. Assist and support any SAP upgrades

10. Work with project controllers to ensure projects are reported correctly within SAP.

11. Provide necessary ad-hoc reporting on an as needed basis.

12. Other duties as assigned by Director of Controlling.

3. SAP experience highly desirable.

4. Knowledge of processes and procedures of POC accounting in a contract management environment a must.

5. Must be detail-oriented with desire to delve into detailed functions while maintaining scope of the global corporate environment.

6. Maintain confidentiality at all times.

7. Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills a must.

8. Basic ability to navigate Internet and Intranet software packages.

9. Ability to maintain working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.

10. Must be flexible, dependable and creative.

11. Ability to work independently and in a team environment

12. Professional verbal and written communication skills are required.

13. Must be able to manage time and determine priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.

2. Masters Degree in Business a plus.

3. 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment in a financial related role.
