Position Summary: The Project Controller is for the successful execution of service projects from a commercial and financial perspective.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Plays an active supporting role to the Project Manager (PM) and is an integral part of the project team, focused on the successful execution of service projects, and making sure commercial terms and conditions are strictly adhered to with customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors
- Assist PM in assessing risks and opportunities of service projects and ensure that information is reflected appropriately in the monthly cost report
- Ensures that project budgets, profit & loss forecasts, and cash flow forecasts are accurately maintained throughout the project life cycle.
- Provides accurate forecasts for expected cost to complete on projects
- Generate monthly job cost reports with budget to actual variance analysis while ensuring FEC is updated
- Provide necessary ad-hoc analysis and reporting on an as needed basis
- Perform work in a fast paced environment with tight time constraints
- Invoice projects and submit invoices to customers
- Perform AR collections for invoices that have aged past due date
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline preferred
- Five to ten years of experience required in manufacturing environment
- Excellent forecasting, analytical and organizational skills
- Knowledge of IFRS and SAP preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Good time management skills
- SAP experience preferred
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and schedule
- Ability to understand and maintain project schedules
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to effectively communicate with internal team and external customers
- Able to work well independently and in a team environment
- Able to define problems and propose solutions
- Adaptable to change in a learning environment
