In our outdoor beer garden, we serve a carefully curated menu of German, Belgian and American craft beers, local meads and ciders, unique cocktails and beautiful wines. POSITION SUMMARY: Host is an essential part of the Dacha team who, along with other team members, is in charge of the customer experience. Professionalism, friendliness, superb tableside manners, teamwork, and nimbleness help ensure unique dining and entertainment experience for our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: (Other duties will be assigned as needed.) Must be willing and able to do the following:
- Provide friendly, upbeat, and highly professional service to customers.
- Ensure that every guest receives exceptional overall experience.
- Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
- Take reservations from guests.
- Confirm reservations on a daily basis.
- Manage the flow of guests into the dining room, confirm reservations or provide accurate wait times.
- Communicate special guest needs to the server and manager.
- Manage the guest coat closet, take and return guests coats, bags, hats, and other accessories.
- Maintain neat and professional appearance.
- Come to work in clean uniform and maintain clean uniform and overall appearance through entire duration of your shift.
- Protect the establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years fine-dining and/or upscale casual dining hosting experience is required.
- Experience with OpenTable or Resy is required.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
