The Opportunity
Dagger is in search of a new Sales/Consignment Manager. This role will be charged with developing and prospecting long term, profitable customer relationships. A highly, intrinsically motivated Representative will be encouraged to provide deep sales expertise and sales assistance to customers with Dagger’s services while also listening to their needs and ensuring that solutions are offered, sold and followed through with.
The Team
The Sales/Consignment Manager report's Dagger Auctions and in turn works with a dynamic team of Sales Representatives covering territories throughout the US. Together, they will work collectively with managers, other employees, and other Territory Representatives across the Dagger companies to meet the growing needs of our customers.
Responsibilities
The Sales/consignment Manager will develop and execute strategic sales plans to promote customer satisfaction and continued growth. More specifically, the Representative will:
- Build an account base by demonstrating the value of our services and effectively manage the territory to maximize business potential.
- Drive new customer business through networking, referrals, and cold contacts.
- Take pictures/video of equipment and list them to our website.
- Facilitate dimensions communications to Dagger Logistics to ensure accurate cost estimating for equipment shipping.
- Work with internal employees and/or divisions to solve problems and develop solutions for customer accounts.
- Gather and share competitive information/data with appropriate internal departments.
- Develop, execute, and provide feedback on sales strategy within existing territory to meet revenue goals and to ensure we remain competitive in the market.
- Assist with customer retention by being aware of competitive situations and meeting with the customers.
- Build relationships with customer decision makers and provide extraordinary customer service.
Qualifications
- Possess sales and business acumen, ideally coupled with a Business, Economics, Marketing, Communications or related degree, or equivalent commensurate experience.
- Have one or more years of demonstrated sales or customer service achievements preferably in the Equipment Industry.
- Business to Business sales experience preferred.
- Have solid sales and marketing capabilities, with a good understanding of market segmentation, profitability analysis, and new market development.
- Be well organized and pay close attention to detail.
- Have superior customer relationship skills, including active listening.
- Travel required 50% of the time within the territory while developing new business.
Job Types: Full-time, Commission
Pay: $50,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
