Customer Service Rep

Our small team is expanding and need a person that can handle stress that comes along with working in a small business setting which means you’ll be wearing many hats and working as efficiently as possible because there’s always more to do and you have to be prepared to take on various tasks unexpectedly.

We are looking for someone to handle all of our customer service (phone & computer) and since there's not a huge amount of customer service, you will be spending the rest of your time cleaning, organizing one greenhouse, and watering/caring for the plants, and just anything that comes up.

This job will require:

• horticulture experience- you need to have a basic understanding of how to care for plants. Perhaps you have a few thriving plants at home or perhaps you've worked in a greenhouse previously.
• a good deal of physical stamina, other than the times you are doing customer service, you will be running around the greenhouse, probably moving/caring for plants...etc
• diligence and thoroughness, you will be wearing alot of hats, picture this: you're watering the plants when a phone call comes in, you are responsible to engage with that call with our one touch reply text or you just pick up the phone if it's not too much trouble. Since we are a small business, there may not be much volume of one task, rather there will be ALOT of small tasks that requires different trains of thought and execution. Anyone that works here have to have the diligence to FINISH all small task and not let it slide.
• last but not least, you need to be (or at least act like) an outgoing person, we don't want moopers, you will need the skillset to turn a difficult customer to a happy customer. Of course not all customers are difficult, you will find that most of our customers are very nice, but when push comes to shove- you're up.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• South Plainfield, NJ 07080: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
