Warranty Claims Adjuster job description

Purpose and Duties:

Provide customer support for warranty and technical concerns. Resolve complex mechanical problems using advanced troubleshooting skills and available resources. Determine corrective action required and fulfill contractual warranty coverage. Validate claims with terms and agreements of product warranty from point of sale. Guide the repair process and authorize necessary diagnostic procedures. Determine vendor coverage and recover cost per agreements. Provide technical support to customers and internally. Follow returned goods through inspection and reclaim. Proactively identify personal training needs.

Daily duties include:

Accept inbound phone calls and emails from customers, repair facilities, and vendors.

Make outbound phone calls with repair facilities and vendors to assist in determining claim coverage and appropriate repairs.

Receive photos and/or assign mechanical inspectors as necessary to assist in verifying coverage of a failure or concern with a unit.

Negotiate and verify appropriate repair costs in relation to the covered failure by using available resources such as Alldata, ProDemand, or other online resources.

Make outbound phone calls and emails to inform customers of repair status as necessary.

Communicate with sales department, customers, and repair facilities regarding any issues or exceptions with coverage of a failed unit, including claim denials.

Accurately document all claims communications by entering notes in the claims database.

Review and update weekly warranty report.

Write appropriate warranty sales order on replacement units.

Update repair facilities and customers as necessary regarding tracking information on replacement parts or units.

Total compensation dependent upon prior experience and job performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
