What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at Daiek Woodworks?
We are a custom, high end wood shop that manufactures doors and other products for some of the country's elite companies and residential clientele. We are seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented, punctual individual to join our production team. Starting wage is negotiable depending on skills and experience.
```Duties```
- Develop and write CNC programs for machining operations based on engineering blueprints and specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and production team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues with CNC programs or machine operations.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Continuously improve programming techniques and processes to optimize efficiency.
-Knowledge of B-Solid, WoodWOP and AlphaCam software programs.
```Experience```
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role.
- Proficient in CAD software for creating and modifying part designs.
- Strong blueprint reading skills to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of machining processes, including milling, turning, drilling, etc.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
- Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Experience in programming CNC machines using G-code or other programming languages.
