Overview

The Finance & Sales Analyst is responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts by leading the Company’s efforts to transform reporting from Excel to Power BI; providing valuable insights, data analysis, and strategic recommendations for accounting, finance and sales.

Responsibilities

• Support the Company’s efforts to better transform data into insights by aligning on and designing standard dashboards, centralized reporting packages, and KPI reports as well as ongoing maintenance and review of the outputs for accuracy.
• Drive the effort to transition from Excel to Power BI as the Company’s primary reporting tool.
• Develop financial schedules for analysis and review of Period End, Annual Operating Plan, and Forecast, with a focus on flexibility and data visualization.
• Collaborate with business units and executive leadership to ensure our suite of reporting is fit for purpose, and regularly reviewed to identify process improvements.
• Support the Controller in the effort to improve upon and build out sustainable tools and processes that can be delivered and maintained for our finance, project, and sales teams allowing the business units to focus on operational excellence.
• Ensure continuous data and reporting integrity through maintenance and administration of planning tools including proactive implementation of enhancements and a special emphasis on data validation and resolution of discrepancies between data sources.
• Gathers, interprets, and evaluates financial data and information, preparing reports and recommendations.

• Support ad-hoc requests from finance, sales, and executive leadership. May interpret reports and records for managers.
• May act as power user for assigned financial software application(s). Pulls or inputs data, produces reports and templates, analyzes and reports information to support financial decision making. Trains other analysts/users on system and reporting applications.
• Other duties include evaluation of and recommendations relating to business opportunities, competitor analysis/ market research and pricing strategies, key demand planning, and coordination of financial projects or programs.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales campaigns and initiatives, and recommend improvements based on analysis within the CRM system.
• Support the sales team with accurate and timely sales data from Dynamics CRM, including customer segmentation, product performance, and sales performance by territory or channel.
• Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s IMS policies and procedures. Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, mathematics, finance, or data science
• 3-5 years proven experience as a Finance, Sales or Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing company using Power BI as the primary Business Intelligence tool.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Solid understanding of sales and demand planning processes, methodologies, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Experience in Excel, Business Intelligence tools (Power BI) and data analytics
