Salesforce Solution Architect Lead

Position Summary:

The Salesforce Solution Architect Lead is responsible for guiding the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, architectural insight, and leadership capabilities. The individual will lead a team of solution architects and work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and partners to deliver impactful Salesforce solutions.

Position Responsibilities May include; 

• Strategic Planning: Define the strategy and vision for Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and IT strategies.

• Solution Design: Lead the conceptualization, design, and delivery of Salesforce solutions, addressing complex business problems and technical challenges.

• Team Leadership: lead, mentor, and develop a team of Salesforce solution architects. Ensure team members have the required training and resources.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into robust Salesforce solutions.

• Best Practices: Promote and enforce best practices in Salesforce implementation, including configuration, customization, and integration.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices to ensure the organization is leveraging the platform optimally.

• Integration: Oversee the integration of Salesforce with other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.

• Documentation: Ensure that all architectural decisions, standards, and methodologies are properly documented.

• Risk Management: Identify potential technical and business risks associated with Salesforce implementations and provide mitigation strategies.

• Vendor Engagement: Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners when necessary to deliver comprehensive solutions.

• Perform other tasks as assigned

Nature & Scope:

• Applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience

• Manages projects and processes while working independently and with limited supervision

• Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals 

• Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex; takes a new perspective on existing solutions

Knowledge & Skills:

• Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities and best practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Familiarity with other enterprise IT systems, middleware, and database technologies.

• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management practices.

Experience:

• Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of architects or similar technical roles.

• 10 Years of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem.

• Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, design patterns and best practices with extensive experience designing solutions 

• May hold advanced certifications such as Salesforce Certified Architect (CTA) or Salesforce Certified Application Architect

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Salesforce Architect certifications, such as Application Architect or System Architect, are a plus.

People Management:  No

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations

• Occasional travel may be required for meetings, trainings, or conferences.
