Description:
Conduct routine and non-routine testing of Shelf Stable Products and ingredients as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and non-routine testing of shelf stable Acidified, High Acid, and Retorted product for compliance to specifications according to current procedure.
- Conduct finished product audits in accordance to current procedure.
- Insuring Broken Jar pallets are fixed in a timely manner.
- Reading and signing lab procedures on Annual Basis.
- Conduct line audit for GMP compliance.
- Communication of out-of-specification products to operations supervisor on duty.
- Recording accurate results for tests completed on correct forms.
- Cleanup and organization of work area.
- Other tasks as assigned.
4a - 4pm - 2 Days / 4pm - 4am - 2 Days - Off 2 Days / Off Sundays / Rotating Shift - 12 Hour Shift
Requirements:
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytic skills.
- Good computer skills including literacy with Excel and Word.
- Individual should have an understanding of food safety, food laboratory practices, GMP, HACCP, PMO, Pest Control and basic Sanitation practices.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- High school degree or General Education Degree (GED).
- Read, speak, and write English.
