Description

The Agricultural Consulting Services (ACS) division of Dairy One provides agronomy consulting and compliance services to dairy and crop producers throughout the northeast. The Senior Agricultural Environmental Planner develops and supports farm CAFO and CNMP plans that complement each farm’s agronomic practices and result in a strong compliance position for the farm, along with efficient nutrient management and reduced environmental risk from their operation.  The essential duties include:

  • Collaborate with customers to identify needs and develop solutions that meet their needs and are compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Maintain the certifications, training, and credentials necessary to create and sign the CAFO and CNMP plans.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with agency staff.
  • Collaborate with other member of the Agronomy Services team to create and deliver each farm plan deliverable on time as defined in each product’s deliverables schedule.
  • Assist clients in understanding and implementing compliant fertility recommendations, manure recommendations, farmstead-based and field-based conservation needs. 
  • Seek opportunities to improve our compliance and crop management services in ways that result in increased profitability for Dairy One or improved environmental compliance and cropping integration for the farm.


Requirements

AEM Planner Certification required.
