Seeking an experienced CPA to join our team as our new Controller.
Since 2007, C&H Holdings, Inc. has been an independent owner/operator of the Dairy Queen/Orange Julius and Wetzels Pretzels franchise systems. Currently, we own and operate Dairy Queen/Orange Julius and Wetzels Pretzels franchises in Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho and Utah. We hope to add several additional locations to our store roster in the very near future.
As a Controller you will oversee and assist with all aspects of our accounting. The day-to-day responsibilities of our Controller will vary but are expected to include overseeing and assisting with compiling daily sales and labor reports, monitoring daily cash flows, and assisting HR with the onboarding and termination paperwork for newly hired and terminated employees.
You will work closely with the owner, director of operations, assistant controller, area managers and store managers to track daily sales and labor, monitor cash flows and prepare budgets to help maintain a positive work environment and ensure the financial success and growth of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of interim and year-end financial statements
- Oversee and assist store managers with the preparation of daily sales & labor reports
- Preparation of biweekly sales and labor reports
- Oversee and assist HR in onboarding and termination paperwork for new hires and terminations
- Oversee and assist with the preparation of cashflow budgets and projections
- Oversee annual income tax preparation
- Assist with the negotiation of new and existing leases
- Oversee and assist with accounting data entry and QuickBooks
- Analyze potential opportunities for growth from acquisitions or the opening of new locations
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree (BS/BA/MBA)
- CPA or equivalent experience in accounting
- Thorough knowledge of financial accounting and financial statement preparation
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
- Strong knowledge of income taxes and income tax preparation
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
