Job Requirements
Basic Function of Position:
Ensure quality of dirty ground flake.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for sorting colored PET, non-PET bottles, cans and other foreign materials from the incoming raw material streams.
- Responsible for maximizing quality levels on ground flake.
- Responsible for maximizing production levels on ground flake.
- Responsible for reporting all necessary maintenance repair items and safety concerns to the Shift Supervisor.
- Responsible for housekeeping within the entire sorting area.
- Responsible for checking and maintaining the performance of all sorting conveyors.
- Follow all Wash Line Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Follow all applicable company and plant Quality, Safety, and Housekeeping rules. (See Requirements)
- Related duties as assigned.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Requires walking / standing approximately 95% of time; lifting up to 25 lbs.; involves repetitive stooping, forward bending and crouching approximately 25 % of time.
- Good organizational skills required. Must be detailed oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks.
- Must have a positive attitude and take direction from the Shift Supervisor.
- Must be hands on and a good listener.
- Must be able to work and perform in a team environment.
