Design Capabilities

· Interpret design concepts provided by principal and execute documentation of concept through ink drawings or computer documentation.

· Develop 3 dimensional models and renderings

· Create design concepts that meet real work budget and site constraints and client expectations

· presentations for regulatory hearings.

Technical Capabilities

· Prepare permit compliant construction drawings of residential wood frame construction, small commercial projects and building systems.

· Meet with clients occasionally to establish their needs and design requirements

· Supervise technicians collecting field measurements and photographs of existing conditions.

· Perform code review for various projects.

· Establish job deadlines and drafting responsibilities

· Perform quality control tasks for junior persons: such as mentoring and checking documents before sent out to client as final.

· Develop contact with various sales representatives for products to be used during construction

· Checking the work of engineers and interfacing of systems on commercial projects.

· Coordinate and track client requests and specific details of projects.

· Maintain paper and electronic files for all projects.

· Trouble shoot problems.

· Code review estimating.

· Proficiency in Auto Cad, Revit, Adobe Design Suite, Sketch-Up, Rhino, Chief Architect Word, Microsoft Office Suite,

Personality

· Patient person with coworkers and accepting of persons with different skill sets and education levels.

· Good communicator.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
