Target Range:

About This Job
The Senior Deposit Operations Specialist – Loss Preventions is responsible for assisting with the implementation of loss prevention programs to deter, detect and investigate fraud and operational loss and potential loss, monitor and arrange recovery and/or restitution.- Monitors potential operational loss areas, analyzes operational losses and fraudulent activity.
- Reviews, investigates and actions potential fraud cases / alerts to mitigate loss.
- Monitors and arrange for recovery and/or restitution of losses incurred by fraudulent activities.
- Take-action on suspicious accounts by restricting, closing, or rejecting the opening of new accounts
- Counsels account holders who are victims of fraudulent activity and conducts inquiries when warranted
- Maintain a working knowledge of fraud prevention guidelines and techniques
- Communicate via phone, email and/ or letters with other bank employees, account holders, and Financial institutions
- Escalates suspicious activity via submission of Questionable Activity Report
- Place or review Regulation CC holds to reduce the exposure of risk to the bank while adhering to compliant hold times.
- Verifies adherence to Bank policies, operating procedures and processes.
Requirements:
- 4 years’ banking experience in a retail or operational environment
- Knowledge in banking products and services
- Knowledge in banking regulation and compliance but not limited to the following: Regulation CC, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to draft emails and letters to customer’s and other financial institutions
- Must maintain a calm and friendly attitude especially under pressure
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to perform all functions efficiently and accurately with limited to no procedural errors
- Ability to navigate multiple systems at once
