Dalio Family Office Overview: 

The Dalio Family Office (DFO) supports Barbara and Ray Dalio and their family in their ventures and investments as well as their work through Dalio Philanthropies, including OceanX, Dalio Education, Endless Network, and the Beijing Dalio Foundation.  The DFO is rooted in a culture of meaningful work and meaningful relationships and the family’s legacy of giving back.  The DFO office is headquartered in Westport, Connecticut with a satellite office in New York City.  This role would work from Dalio Education’s office in Greenwich, Connecticut.

 

Dalio Education Overview: 

Barbara Dalio founded Dalio Education, a division of Dalio Philanthropies, more than a decade ago.  Barbara and Andrew Ferguson lead Dalio Education as Co-CEOs and work with a lean team to implement the programmatic and operational strategies of Dalio Education.  Dalio Education’s signature initiatives are the Connecticut RISE Network (an independent non-profit organization) and the Connecticut Opportunity Project (an initiative within Dalio Education), which are designed to help young people in Connecticut get back on track.  Dalio Education prioritizes and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion as a core element of its culture in all aspects of its work.

 

Position Summary: 

Dalio Education seeks an experienced, reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to join the Dalio Education team to provide high-level administrative support and coordination for Andrew and an additional senior professional, and to assist the team in advancing projects and other priorities.  The Executive Assistant is a key member of the team and will play an integral role ensuring successful operations and activities, while providing excellent partner experiences and managing Dalio Education’s Greenwich office.

Andrew, Co-CEO, Dalio Education; and additional senior professional

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

Top priorities are subject to change and include, but are not limited to:

 Professional Leverage (50%):

  • Maintain and optimize schedules for the Co-CEO and an additional senior professional by providing calendar management support and coordinating with Barbara’s team;
  • Support the Co-CEO and an additional senior professional by tracking and processing expenses;
  • Perform an array of administrative tasks in support of meeting coordination and facilitation, partner communication, and vendor management;
  • Support the Co-CEOin coordinating communications and maintaining key relationships with external stakeholders;
  • Support meetings and collaboration through the development of agendas, minutes, and internal systems to support workflow and communication;
  • Anticipate upcoming events and cyclical responsibilities, monitor the team-wide calendar, and plan proactively for team needs aligned to those events; and
  • Support the team in identifiying team-building and professional developmental opportunities (e.g., articles, workshops, speaker seminars, educational events, etc.) that align with Dalio Education’s team values, including the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

 

Office Management (25%):

  • Serve as Dalio Education office manager responsible for ensuring the Greenwich office is well supplied, and internal office systems, security, and technology function effectively; and
  • Deliver a guest experience, including food and beverage, for visitors to the office with a cultural competency that exhibits thoughtfulness and attention to detail.

 

Special Projects and Project Management (25%):

  • Support project management efforts by tracking tasks and milestones relative to the team’s multifaceted work plans, providing periodic updates, and serving as the project lead for special events as assigned; and
  • Support teammates in planning and executing special projects (e.g., winter coat project, grantee convenings, team retreats, holiday projects, etc.) and in coordinating complex logistics.

 

And other duties, as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following professional qualifications:

  • At least eight years of relevant work experience required with at least four years of experience directly supporting senior executives strongly preferred;
  • A proven track record of effectively managing an office and guest experience while contributing to significant projects and supporting teams;
  • A Bachelor’s degree at an accredited higher education institution or equivalent work experience required; and
  • Experience successfully demonstrating the cultural competency to work across diverse populations and the ability to build meaningful relationships with stakeholders from various walks of life (e.g. colleagues, partners, practitioners, and community members).

  • Exceptional in Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Mac (iCloud calendar, mail, contacts, iPhone, iPad, pages, numbers, keynote, apps); MS Outlook (mail, calendar, contacts); Google Applications; Adobe; Salesforce; Concur Expense; Appian; Dropbox; Monday.com; Sharepoint; and other cloud-based file systems.

 

Position Location and Hours:

 

Greenwich, Connecticut, with some in-state travel required (approximately 10%).

 

This position will work from Dalio Education’s office in Greenwich at least three days a week with some travel required across Connecticut.

 

This position is full-time and a typically work day is 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST; however, this position will also require flexibility, including the need to work alternate time zones on occasion. 

 

Compensation:

Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary in the range from $100,000-$150,000 (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package, including a comprehensive employer paid medical plan and generous employer match for 401k.
