Dallas Ear Institute is seeking an exceptional medical assistant to join our team. The medical assistant closely collaborates with our supportive team of neurotologists, physicians assistant and audiologists to provide exceptional care to our patients. Our patient population includes patients of all ages. Our offices are located in Medical City Dallas, Centennial Medical Center in Frisco and North Fort Worth. This position will be based in the Fort Worth office and may require occasional travel to other offices to cover for absences.

Primary responsibilities of the role include:

  • Verifying patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
  • Preparing patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.
  • Assisting physicians with in office procedures
  • Counseling patients through the pre and post operative process as directed by physician.
  • Surgery scheduling including coordination with the surgical center; communication with patients, chart preparation, and pre-admission process.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Manage clinical supply inventory and assist with equipment maintenance as needed
  • Securing patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential.

Clinic hours:

Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Friday 8:00AM-1:00PM

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in a medical or clinical setting including surgery coordinatio
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and ability to utilize tools for electronic communication among providers, patients and staff
  • Strong organizational skills/attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
