Custodian, Guest Services

Job Summary

• Regular high standard turn-over of DTS guest rooms including (per stay):
  • Washing linens and making beds
  • Scrubbing and sanitizing showers, bathtubs, toilets, countertops, and sinks
  • Dusting furniture and fixtures
  • Disposing properly of trash
  • Sweeping and mopping floors
  • Vacuuming rugs
  • Keeping rooms organized and clean
  • Restocking disposables (shampoo/conditioner, soap, water bottles, tea, Keurig pods, etc.)
  • Washing dishes and utensils
  • Reporting breakages, damages, and safety issues for repairs
• Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities during a guests stay as needed (such as disposables like shampoo, soap, and toilet paper)
• Updating status of guest rooms on assignment sheet (via DTS Guest Room Housekeeping website)
• Regular deep cleaning of DTS guest rooms (monthly)
• Maintaining an inventory of disposables and notifying supervisor when refills of supplies are needed
• Consider areas for improved guest experience and make suggestions to supervisor.
• Must be able to work Mon-Fri 10AM-2 PM.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous guest service and/or housekeeping experience

• Must be able to lift heavy objects or furniture at times
• Ability to read and follow signs and written instructions
• Ability to use hand or lightweight cleaning tools
• Physical fitness to lift 15 pounds at times
• Ability to work while standing
