We are currently seeking a Buyer II who will be responsible for Plastics commodity suppliers that make up a significant spend portion for Beckman Coulter Life Sciences.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use
- Negotiating favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers
- Drive ongoing supplier optimization and continuous improvement
The required qualifications for the job include:
- A minimum of a Bachelors’ degree with 3-5 years of experience in a tactical or strategic procurement role, supporting manufacturing or project management, or a master’s degree with 1 years’ experience
- Experience with supply chain and inventory management systems, including material purchasing of preferably manufactured raw materials
- Preferred - APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPM Certification
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Both finished goods and manufacturing planning for instrument/accessory type products.
- Documentation or creation of Standard Work and/or Work Instructions
- Negotiating experience with suppliers
