Purpose statement:
Buyers perform the complex technical duties related to the procurement of the specialized equipment, materials, services and supplies, required by IDT’s operational groups in accordance with all applicable procedures and regulations.
Essential Functions:
Incorporates forecast information and historical usage rates to develop and distribute RFQ/RFP/RFI documents to qualified bidders
Prepares and processes various purchasing related documents, e.g. requisitions, orders, and agreements
Determines and develops appropriate sources of supply and maintains cooperative working relationships with vendors to stay current with trends, technologies, products, and services
Reduces cost, increases quality, and improves service by reducing the number of suppliers and consolidating purchasing power (supplier rationalization)
Coordinates material returns and facilitates the receipt of subsequent credit memos
Revises/Updates essential ERP item data to ensure the proper calculation of inventory demand signals
Confirms material, equipment, and service requirements/specifications with key stakeholders
Other duties as assigned
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a science related field from an accredited college or university, required
Professional Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive work experience managing supply chain, logistics, or purchasing functions on behalf of an organization is preferred
Working knowledge of a tier one ERP system (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.), is required
Prior professional experience within an ISO 9001, 13485 and 14001 certified organization preferred

The salary range for this role is $58,000 - $60,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
