The Cell Leader (Coatings) collaborates with Value Stream Leader/Business Unit Manager to ensure our goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity are met or exceeded while producing product to specification requirements.
This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Operations Team and oversees the Anodize, Paint and Chemical Laboratory functions. The role is located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and overtime is routine.
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
In accordance with FAA regulations, this is a safety sensitive job and is therefore subject to random drug and or alcohol testing.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to
Provide day-to-day leadership to employees; schedule work assignments to meet company goals and customer required deliveries. Manage overtime to meet OTD schedule. Communicate key messages to team members and lead the team in daily stand up / shift start-up meetings. Review and approve daily time and attendance and approve time off requests. Responsible for yearly employee performance reviews and employee corrective actions.
Implement training, new procedures, and coordinate manufacturing operations in assigned areas. Ensure that all paperwork is completed properly in assigned areas. Identify cost savings and help implement changes.
Update Production charts (Visual management tools). Report production activities, team goals and countermeasures to management during daily management meetings. Review and project monthly shipment dollars and past due projections for your areas.
The essential requirements of the job include:
High School Diploma or local equivalent (i.e. GED) plus at least 2 years of Team Lead or manager experience.
Basic math, reading and writing skills; proficient user of Excel and Word, effective communication and comprehension skills, reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Bend, lift (Weight: 30 lbs.), sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Knowledge of processes and equipment in an industrial setting with exposure to working with chemicals or handling of chemicals.
