Position Summary
The Data and Analytics Specialist role is responsible for developing and implementing Aldevron’s Enterprise Data Strategy which will enable the effective performance management of the business.
Essential Functions
The Data and Analytics Specialist is responsible for the following areas:
Lead a cross-functional reporting and analysis activities to develop and implement Aldevron’s Enterprise Data Strategy to enable the business to assess current business performance and support the reporting and analytics needs related to new or evolving business strategies.
Partner with the business to identify and implement new systems/tools and/or data requirements which will support evolving reporting and analytics needs of the business.
Work with various business groups to define, build, analyze, monitor, and report Key Results and KPIs that inform various business units strategy and decision making.
Collect, process, clean, transform, and validate data from a variety of sources so that it can be used for analysis and recommendations.
Identifies, tracks, monitors, and communicates project-related issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that occur during the course of projects.
Qualifications
BS/BA degree in Information Technology or Business Management or a related field.
5 years of experience in data management, data structures and/or data modeling, including systems implementation experience
Demonstrated project management skills to champion a project from inception to implementation and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Solid analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including effective visual representation of complex data.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and business intelligence tools (Power BI Pro and Excel).
Familiarity with relational databases and a general understanding of SQL queries, data structures, data management concepts and small data lakes.
