The IT Site Lead for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for supporting the local Loveland site associates in their computing needs via effective communication, daily support, and system implementations.
This position is part of the Beckman Coulter - Diagnostics - Administration - Information Technologies Operations in Loveland, CO and will be onsite (some hybrid available after trained). At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
We are looking for an experienced Deskside /Infrastructure support team member with desire to lead small projects, coordinate with vendors and assist in off-hours emergency repairs. You will support the local Loveland site associates in their computing needs via effective communication, daily support, and system implementations. We are seeking an associate who is self-disciplined, passionate about continuous improvement and who can execute on the outlined tasks with remote management and oversight.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Small scale project management: participate in Global IT Departmental projects; along with lead small local projects.
Strong technical skills in deskside support: from imaging to Level 3 troubleshooting, new hire setups to application support, vulnerability management, strong knowledge is required to resolve challenging issues.
Coordinate with vendors for installs and repairs.
Sense of urgency for critical situations: Ability to assess a situation and initiate activities to mitigate or restore services in a timely manner (with support from other technical teams).
Team Lead and coordination skills: help monitor ITSM queue and ensure requests are being processed in a timely fashion; coordinate team resources, adjusting/refocus as needed to incoming requests.
Excellent ability to communicate effectively with end users, business leadership, technical team members and IT leadership in both written and verbal methods. Comfortable supporting and working directly with all levels of company organization from Associate to Vice-President.
Serve as backup resource to server administrator and network smart-hands.
The essential requirements of the job include:
AA Degree or Bachelor’s degree (prefer Information Technology/Computer Science but not required when tied with experience) with 6 years of experience with increasing levels of support skill and responsibility.
Ability to work on site in Loveland, CO
Lift 15 pounds, physically complete computer installations (ie connect power cords/ network cables under desks), rack network switches and other network/server equipment.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Ability to use data to drive decisions and dig to root cause. (Expert level Excel skills, experience with Microsoft Power BI a bonus, experience with data exports from ITSM, and similar) Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology a plus.
Compliance and Validation documentation experience a bonus. Experience working in a highly regulated environment also a bonus. Beckman is a medical device company and thus is required to meet explicit FDA and other global regulatory requirements which directly affect our IT systems.
The salary range or hourly range for this role is $38.00-41.00 /Hour (depending on experience). This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
