Manager Field Technical Service

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, an operating company of Danaher Corporation is recruiting a Manager Field Technical Service.

Beckman Coulter Diagnostic systems are used in complex biomedical testing, and are found in hospitals, reference laboratories and physician office settings around the globe.

We are looking for a Manager-Field Technical Service (aka District Manager) who can lead the district and help drive the business successful. This position plays a big role to accomplish our vision to becoming a world class service organization!

As our Manager Field Technical Service, you will oversee and maintain a team of top-performing Field Service Engineers. You will work directly with North America Commercial Operations (NACO) Services Leadership on operational strategy as related to performance and goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain team of top-performing Field Service Engineers.
• Work directly with North America Commercial Operations (NACO) Services Leadership on operational strategy as related to performance and goals.
• Primary focus is on service metrics to include localized escalation, engineer technical mentoring and daily activities such as preventative maintenance (PM), modifications (MOD) and balancing daily service-call workload
• Support dispatchers (schedule coordinators) in scheduling Field Service Engineers for appropriate jobs according to vicinity and skill set.
• Regularly visit job sites for quality control, coaching and training purposes.
• Responsible for expanding network and developing new relationships for new opportunities in partnering with sales team.
• Regularly visit clients and customers to maintain network and relationships.
• Provide technical support for all Field Service Engineers.
• Review Field Service Engineers service records to make sure that all work is being done to code and correctly.
• Define needs of Beckman Coulter personnel with regard to training and developmental needs; establishes goals to meet objectives
• Act as the primary connection between the office staff and the field, answer any technical questions either may have.
• Advise NACO Service Leadership on growth opportunities.
• Identify and eliminate potential risks.
• Assure that communications from the office reach the field in a timely and efficient manager.
• Responsible for the implementation of and adherence to corporate processes and procedures.
• Maintain controls over materials purchased to stock Field Service Engineers’ car.
• Regularly assess skill sets and provide evaluations, and coaching.
• Identify and execute Performance Improvement Plans and/or make a recommendation to replace non-performers.
• Take the lead of the recruiting process in partnering with HRBP, Talent Advisors as a hiring manager, including but not limited to, review/screen resumes, conduct phone/F2F interviews with candidates, assess their skills, knowledge, ability to determine whether they meet requirements and expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 9 plus years or Master’s degree with 7 plus years
• Current, clean driver’s license
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and industry specific applications
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers
• Ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision
• Demonstrated commitment to safety
• Demonstrated track record of reliability, punctuality, and productivity
• Ability to lead a team
• Ability to adapt and comply with Company/Client requirements
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing, multi-cultural environment
• Has a desire to learn and develop within the role
