Position Summary:
Are you passionate about Operations, leading a team, and making a difference? Our organization is seeking an Operations Leader to manage a team of motivated professionals in Production, Planning and Shipping.
This role is a senior leader within OTT HydroMet and an integral part of the OTT HydroMet extended Global Operations Leadership Team, reporting directly to the VP Global Operations. This position also assumes responsibility for cross-functional and/or cross-operational initiatives and meetings within the Global Operations Team.
This role will impact directly the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & Inventory (SQDCI) objectives that drive the long-term commercial success for a portfolio of new and existing products at the Sterling site.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Building a highly performing continuous improvement environment
- Leadership and Talent Management: Support & lead performance of the Sterling Operations team of 12 associates in Production, Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Shipping. Coach, train and mentor associates.
- Own the integral planning, production and shipment process
- Lead a culture of process improvement through our Danaher Business System
- Work cross functionally with team members including Procurement, Quality, Sales, Engineering and Finance
- Follow and implement a safe and healthy work environment
- Benchmark and incorporate standard methodologies from other Danaher locations and build business cases to prioritize investments
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional who can develop talent, foster innovation and deliver results.
- Bachelor/ Master degree in Manufacturing/Engineering/Logistic Management/Supply Chain
- 5 years of Leadership and supply chain experience in discrete assembly environment. Automotive experience is a big plus
- Models humility, transparency and integrity in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven examples of implementing lean manufacturing, metric measurement, and analytics
- Demonstrates Drive for Results in personal, team and organizational performance. Able to flex from being hands-on and detail-oriented to seeing the big picture and thinking strategically
- Must have high level of agility, excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
- German and English fluency required. Ability to effectively present information, influence, persuade, and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, peers, and customers
- Travel max 10%
